The proper functioning of a commercial aquaponics system relies on the management of water flow, specifically the mineralization of fish effluents. Furthermore, ÉAU comprises a multidisciplinary team that ensures the research and proper application of technologies. This team possesses technical expertise in horticulture, mineralization, and aquaculture.

High-energy-efficiency LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting systems allow for optimal plant development. ÉAU collaborates with Quebec manufacturers and conducts tests to select the most efficient lighting systems based on the project, the installation, and the type of cultivation: vertical farming in buildings or traditional greenhouse farming.
